We have some very exciting news to share with you! We are very proud to announce that The River’s Edge Motel Lodge & Resort has been selected as a host hotel for the Ride the Rockies event happening this summer!
Ride the Rockies is an annual bicycle tour event where more than 1,900 cyclists from around the world and over 90 volunteers come together to ride through Colorado’s Rocky Mountains for six to seven days. The event is unique every year, but it always involves riding through challenging mountain passes while admiring the incredible natural sights. These rides range from short 45 mile trips to longer 100-mile trips, but most participants tend to bike between 65 to 75 miles. Proceeds from the event benefit The Denver Post Community Foundation.
This year, Ride the Rockies participants will be cycling through multiple communities including Pagosa Springs, Ridgway (supported by Ouray), and more. Riders will also discover some of the historic Colorado sights like the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. As always, the scenery will remain wonderfully picturesque.
