It’s approaching that time again, everyone! The Ouray Ice Festival returns for a trio of days and a trio of nights, redefining Ouray as a cool paradise of all things that concern ice climbing. The festival is open to individuals of all skill levels that wish to participate in and discuss the perennially popular sport of ice climbing. Visitors are welcome to check out the newest ice climbing gear and tools from major vendors and there is also the mixed climbing competitions to watch where the best ice climbers duke it out to win top prizes.
When night falls, the Ouray Ice Festival will host evening events which include multimedia presentations hosted by professional climbers. While the primary topic is the sport of ice climbing there will also be a variety of activities to enjoy including live music, lots of delicious food, and even dance parties so you can stay warm and active despite the cold weather. Attendees are also welcome to participate in a silent auction to score some cool ice climbing gear.
The Ouray Ice Festival begins on January 18th and there is no cost to attend unless you’re planning on participating in the nightly events or the various clinics.
