Have you eaten at the Coachlight Restaurant and Tavern yet? If you haven’t, chances are you’ve at least heard about it. The historic eatery and hotel has been around for more than 120 years and it even had a full bowling alley at one point during its history. The owners behind Ouray’s Bon Ton Restaurant are now setting their sights on returning the Coachlight to its former glory.
For those concerned about the Coachlight losing some of its historic charm, you can rest assured that only minor work was done where necessary to retain its appeal. Future visitors will find a full-service restaurant capable of accommodating up to 75 patrons, a tavern with indoor and outdoor seating for a total of forty people, and more. The restaurant’s hours of operation will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for lunch and 5:00 to 9:00 pm for dinner. The tavern will also have light fare and will remain open later than the restaurant.
There are major plans in store for the reinvigorated Coachlight, including event hosting and catering. For the time being, the focus remains on providing patrons great food and service.
