Invest in a tripod. Tripods will help give you steady photographs without any blur. If you want a long exposure picture, then a tripod will be especially useful. Your hands won’t be able to hold a camera as steadily as a long exposure picture needs.
Be patient! This might be the most important tip. Really dedicated photographers sometimes stay at the same spot for hours, waiting for the perfect shot. Plan ahead so you can maximize time at your location. You might have to wait for clouds to move or rain to end.
