Last time we gave you an overview of some of the places where you’ll be able to enjoy next week’s Fourth of July celebrations in Ouray. For those looking to get a head start on the festivities, there will be lots to see and do throughout Colorado this weekend to get you in the mood for what’s sure to be a fantastic time.
Get up early and find a good spot on Main Street before 10 am to watch the La Veta Independence Day parade. Later on in the evening, head to Peyton to check out Falcon Freedom Days beginning at 6:30 pm where you can enjoy great food, drinks, plenty of family friendly activities, and of course, some fireworks.
Iron Horse Park in Fort Carson will host the Fort Carson Freedom Fest on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy a car show, plenty of live music, fireworks, and a fun color powder run. The festival kicks off at noon and continues until 10 pm.
Just before the official holiday, Fruita will host its 3rd of July Fireworks Show beginning at dusk on Monday. If you’re looking for something to get you in the mood for Tuesday, it might be worth a visit.
