Start getting your running gear ready! In May, our neighbor Ridgway will welcome the first ever Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley. This distinct take on the popular running events will welcome participants (the event calls them “art-letes”) to get a workout while they come upon distinct sculptures and concealed poems. The run ends at the town park.
Many different reasons exist as to why you may want to give the rally a go. For starters, Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley will provide important funding for the Weehawken Creative Arts and the Sherbino Theater (Ridgway Chautauqua Society) so they will have the means to continue to enrich others with the arts, culture, and lifelong learning. Another reason why should join? Physical activity always does the body some good.
Speaking of physical activity, a 1K is definitely something that will require some degree of preparation. If you’re thinking about becoming a runner, make sure you start training now as the big day is right around the corner. The first Ridgway 1K Rally Through the Alley is going down on Saturday, May 11th at the Weehawken Creative Arts Center. We hope you can make it!
