Gardens on The River

Ouray Colorado and its mountain hills and valleys have long been known for its colorful abundance of wildflowers. This same mountain color can also be found here on the grounds of the Rivers Edge. Hundreds of native mountain flowers have been planted on the Rivers Edge property and on the banks of the Uncompahgre river.

Founded in 2008, for the enjoyment of our guests, the gardens on the river and the river walk boast a fever of tranquility. Our spacious gardens feature beautiful hanging petunia baskets. There color can span four feet across. Enjoy our gardens early in the spring as the daffodils peak through the snow and there on through the summer and fall as robust color changes daily. Our gardens are just one of the many reasons guests return year after year to enjoy the serenity of The Rivers Edge Lodge Resort and Motel.
